a couple of months back, we gathered up the kids in search of this sunflower field. we drove for (what felt like) forever and finally arrived. it. was. packed. people everywhere. we had to wait a bit in order to get shots of just the kids and the flowers, but it was worth it.
we visited a farm in october and i'm finally getting around to posting about it! the kids had a blast and there wasn't a video game in sight.
i recently joined up with some very amazing ladies to do a blog circle just for summer. we're going to choose our favorites for each month and post them. i feel that this will be a way for me to keep up with my daily shooting...something that i've really missed doing.
i hope you enjoy the images i picked for june (it's a slide show, so you can click though!)! i swear i cannot believe that it's july already! last month just flew by!
be sure to follow the circle around to see the rest! click here to peruse the amazingness that is alexis fischer photography!
proof that you don't need a magic location...taken in my front yard, she's actually standing in the flower bed with the sun setting behind her. shot with my nikon d810 and my nikon 50mm 1.4.
i miss the warm days of spring and summer, where the kids can run around barefoot and stay outside until after dark. where you can go with short sleeves, or no sleeves. when you can smell suntan lotion and hamburgers on the grilll. where the sun comes out to play all. day. long. and the colors. the glorious, glorious, colors.
